Ellen Fraser

Practice manager

Ellen is dedicated to creating an environment where excellence and care go hand in hand. As our practice manager, Ellen ensures our clients feel valued and our team is equipped to perform at their best.

Before joining the legal world, Ellen spent seven years as the director of a successful retail franchise and two years in construction sales. These roles gave her a deep understanding of business operations and the importance of fostering genuine relationships.

Since transitioning to the legal sector, Ellen has led internal and external communications, people projects, and marketing and event strategies at a prominent Brisbane law firm, showcasing her versatility and leadership.

Outside of work, Ellen enjoys renovating her Queenslander home with her husband Barney and their two young children, Dougal and Agnes. She can often be found catching up with friends at her local coffee shop, testing out ambitious recipes (with mixed success), or singing her heart out at Pub Choir.

Ellen’s dedication to excellence and her genuine care for people make her an invaluable member of our team and a trusted partner to our clients.

Our Expertise

How we can help

Our lawyers use their tax expertise to provide clear advice and identify solutions, whether your matter requires specialist advice, assistance with responding to review or audits, or litigation with the revenue authorities.

We assist all taxpayers and their advisers (accountants, lawyers, and financial planners) with a wide range of tax matters.

Tax advice

We provide expert, timely and clear advice on a range of difficult tax issues including international tax issues, income tax, CGT, GST, withholding taxes, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, stamp duty, land tax.

Tax audits and objections

We help clients respond to review and audit activity from the ATO and State revenue authorities. Where assessments are issued following a review or audit, we represent clients in objections to those assessments.

Tax litigation

We represent clients who want to dispute tax decisions in the Court or Tribunal. Often, tax disputes can be resolved before a Court or Tribunal hearing; however, where this is not possible, our team has a consistent record of advising on effective strategies to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.
